弗雷德里克A号. 马克特库 was named for the University of Cincinnati 克莱蒙特大学's first librarian, 弗雷德里克一. 马克特(1972 - 2002). A student-centered and forward-looking librarian, Fred fostered a learning environment where all were welcome. He enjoyed mentoring, sharing, and guiding students in their educational pursuits. As a librarian who embraced new approaches and technology, Fred brough innovative, cutting-edge thinking to the library. 作为校园历史学家, he documented the growth of the campus he loved and was instrumental in obtaining accreditation for the 克莱蒙特大学 from the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools (NCA). The library was dedicated in his name in 2023.
